Dr. Pauline Bland earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she graduated at the top of her class. She was awarded the Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Honor Medal for her academic achievements and the M. Earl McClellan Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Bland attended the University of Iowa where she earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. Dr. Bland is a Clinton High School graduate.

Dr. Bland was excited to return to her hometown, Clinton, Iowa, to join the team at Virdi Eye Clinic. Her clinical interests include primary care optometry, ocular disease management, pediatrics and contact lenses. She also enjoys contributing to clinical and academic research and has presented several research posters across the country.

In her spare time, Dr. Bland enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband, Kris, and spending time with family.

Important Update: Changes to our NO-SHOW Policy

We, at Virdi Eye Clinic, understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. If you do not notify us that you are unable to keep your appointment, you will be considered a “NO SHOW”. If you are considered a “NO SHOW” there will be a $35.00 “NO-SHOW” FEE. We will not schedule a new appointment until this is paid.
